Extensions

Clang has multiple practical extensions that you can use to achieve even more with your email marketing.

Using an activity export, you can feed external systems with information found in an email. Periodically, two files will be placed on a SFTP server: a broadcast file with in it all information about the sending of emails that took place and an activity file with in it all activities that customers have shown.

This extension sends a literal copy of an email to an SFTP location.

With Clang’s barcode module, it’s possible to add EAN13 or code128 barcodes to your email. Based on this barcode, you can check in your point-of-sale system which customers have cashed the action.

Many systems, like the website of a booking system, offer the ability to send an email. Delivering this email and the measurability are not a priority in this. As a result, such emails are delivered poorly or not at all. The SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) ensures that the emails are properly delivered and offers insights into the statistics of these emails.

The Code List extension consists of a campaign object and management function in Clang. CSV lists with codes can be imported into this extension for the web shop. By using a campaign object, the codes can be handed out to customers and the record of that customer can be stored in Clang.

The extension Copy Content enables you to transfer your campaign or email content based on a template within a brand to other brands.

The extension Copy Data Model enables you to transfer your data model from one brand to another brand.

Increase your CTO, conversion and turnover with a countdown timer in your email. By counting down to zero hours, you show that the offer is very temporary. You create a scarcity that customers respond to. With our countdown timer in Clang you’re no longer dependent on a third party.

The CSV trigger enables you to follow up on selections made based on external data from a DMP, CRM or CMS with a Clang campaign. Using a CSV trigger makes this go a lot faster than through the SOAP API.

With the data model campaign objects you can set up automated and personalized campaigns based on stored data in Clang. For example, consider a review campaign after purchasing a specific product.

Based on content in Clang, this extension can generate a personalized PDF file and then attach it to an email sent from Clang.

Do you want to reactivate inactive customers or identify active customers? With this extensions you can record the date of the last activity. New customer option fields are created in which the date of the last broadcast, open, click, conversion, bounce and the bouncer reason is saved.

This extension enables you to add PDF attachments to your emails. The attachments will be added to your email from the FTP.

The zip code check extension ensures that, based on the combination of zip code and house number, the street and city are automatically added. That way, your online forms are more customer-friendly, which in turn benefits your conversion. In addition, you also keep your database clean because incorrect zip codes are recognized immediately.

You can use a Public FTP for hosting images, CSS files or other files that you need in public. e-Village offers its own FTP for seamless integration with Clang. You can use images on the FTP in emails and templates. The FTP can be directly accessed from the Clang File Manager.

The extension RSS feed import enables you to retrieve real time external data for the purpose of daily offers, but also the latest news on a specific subject. For loading external content, Clang has two flexible solutions.

A SFTP location is a location to securely store files. Clang has its own SFTP location. Files that are stored here can automatically be linked to Clang. Think, for example, of images that need to be placed in a specific spot in an email or a personalised attachment.

Smart Run is a form of A/B testing where you send different emails to a small badge. After a (predetermined) period of time, Clang checks which mailing variant has scored the best. This winning variant is then sent to the rest of the addressees.

There are two types of text message modules available; inbound and outbound. With outbound, you can send a text message yourself, but the recipient can’t send anything back. This can be used, for example, for reminders. Inbound text messages are to initiate interaction. In this case, someone can send a text message to a short code. Based on one or more keywords, the message is linked to your brand or campaign and you can process this data within a Clang campaign.

Receiving data from an external system and linking it to Clang like it’s an import? It can be done with Clang’s Webhook Receiver. You can create your own endpoints and API structure and send all data real time to Clang. With the Webhook Receiver, you can start a campaign after the data has come in for an order confirmation or abandoned shopping cart.
